I find the best part of teaching is when I have the privilege of working one-on-one with students. There is something amazing about sitting with a child who doesn’t understand a problem and giving them focused attention to unlock the door to complete understanding. That is pure joy!
I earned my BS in Mechanical Engineering at U.C. Berkeley.
I’ve worked as a test engineer at the Southern California Gas Company, a utilities engineer at the Port of San Francisco, and a design engineer for the International Space Station. I left there to work as the training and sales director for Adventure 16, and that’s where my interest in teaching was first sparked.
I’ve lived in Falmouth since 1999, tutoring math and science, and in 2002 I started teaching math and science, study skills, working as the Science Department Chair, and directing our Science and Engineering Fair at Falmouth Academy.
